“We’re appealing to visitors and residents to make these responsible choices and avoid risky behavior,” stated Maui County Managing Director Sandy Baz.
“Please consider voluntarily restricting activities, essential needs only like grocery shopping, doctor visits. Avoid gatherings, especially indoor gatherings with family and friends that are outside of your household.”
Victorino warned that if instances don’t lower within the coming weeks, extra restrictions can be put in place, comparable to limiting bar operation hours and lowering or canceling elective medical procedures to extend hospital capability.
In Honolulu, Mayor Rick Blangiardi is contemplating implementing a compulsory coronavirus vaccine or testing requirement to go to eating places.

County Mayors Are Asking For More Restrictions, But Governor Says Hawaii Will Not Lockdown
